Homemade BBQ Sauce and Crock Pot Pulled Chicken

So I've been obsessed with my crock pot lately, and have made crock pot pulled BBQ chicken at least 4 times in the past month and a half. Now that I have the basics down, why not attempt homemade bbq sauce? All the recipes I found called for cooking the sauce 20 minutes or so on the stove, but I couldn't help but wonder if you could let it slow cook in the crock pot with the chicken. Sure enough I stumbled on this recipe and wanted to give it a shot.

Homemade BBQ Sauce and Crock Pot Pulled Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon mustard
1 cup dark brown sugar
Pinch celery seed
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon minced onion
2 tablespoons honey

Instructions:

After mixing the sauce, I poured it over 5 chicken breasts and left it to cook on low for 6 hours. It made my house smell so good, and I could tell the sauce was going to be tangy. The chicken came out super tender and tasty as always. I got no complaints from my sister and her husband! Next time I am planning I make to sauce a bit sweeter, and may try adding molasses as well. I'm proud of myself for venturing into homemade sauce! Unfortunately the post-cooking picture turned out awful, so I only have a before shot on this one, but check out the results when I made it again:
